For our customer we are looking for a Commercial Director Nordics

Since 1993, our customer delivers leading edge, well supported, consumer transaction software. The headquarter is based in the UK, with further offices in the USA and Continental Europe, and a growing international network of commercial partners.

Our customer’s integrated software solutions and services are used daily by some 1,200 cinemas and leisure attractions, 1,500 pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels and 450 leisure centres and many high profile clients in the manufacturing, transport and retail sectors. Clients are currently spread across more than 20 countries and several of them are markquee brands.

The company's solutions approach is centred on an ERP system for multi-operational groups.

Several key orders were won during last financial year in each of the target markets and these confirm the Group’s growing reputation for leading edge software solutions which can enhance clients’ revenues and improve their business efficiency.

To strengthen the European team, we are looking for a Commercial Director for the Nordics, an entrepreneurial self-starter with excellent communications skills and the ambition to execute a profitable division to enable the growth of the organisation in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

The Commercial Director Nordics will:

  • Be responsible for building an ecosystem of revenue generating clients that will accelerate growth in Nordic region.
  • Be responsible to set up a successful organisation, initially sales and later delivery.
  • Responsible for all engagement in the region; identification, qualification, pursuit, formal engagement, and on-going management through the delivery of multiple successful joint clients.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for Business Development.
  • Identifying opportunities for incremental and sustainable revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Negotiates and closes business deals.
  • Communicates the vision and value-proposition message to the potential market.
  • Develops and executes business plans that deliver incremental clients and revenue.
  • Collaborates across the organization to successfully integrate into sales, marketing, and delivery functions.
  • Reports to Director EMEA.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Language: Fluent in English and minimal Danish or Swedish, it would be nice to have Norwegian or Finnish as well.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years experience in a sales focused role with at least 5 years gained in POS software solutions.
  • Strong track record in developing new business and account management at executive level, with deal sizes in excess of $1m.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale marketplace in the Nordics and Retail/Hospitality business models.
  • Demonstrated success building revenue generating relationships with customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous work streams, both sales and delivery/Ops.
  • Strategic selling and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in multiple languages.
  • Willingness to travel (>70%)
  • Demonstrable ability to be successful in a matrix organization.
